C & L Motorsports Racing Team would
like to introduce Chris Walker, a
freshman at the University of Central Missouri. We would further like
to introduce you to the sport of auto racing and how it can be a
worthy investment for your company.
In 1997, at the age of 7, Chris began his
first year of competition racing at the Liberty Go Kart Racing Track
in Liberty, Missouri.
Competition standings for the season were:
- Rookie Division Champion
- 11th Overall in Final Point Standings
Chris continued to drive go karts for the next
four years competing both at the local and national levels to
improve his driving skills and to advance to the next highest level
of go kart racing.
In 2001, after having been successful at
competing in both local and national levels of Go Kart Racing, Chris
advanced into the level of auto racing competing with adults.
He began driving a Modified Micro Midget at the Sweet Springs Motor
Complex in Sweet Springs, Missouri.
For 2002 and now at the age of 13, Chris took
his driving skills, determination and competition spirit to Modified
Micro Midget Racing at the National Level driving in the seven
states of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and
Kentucky.
Competition standings for the season were:
- 2 Feature Race Wins
- 5 Trophy Dash Race Wins
- End of the season National Competition race in Oklahoma City,
a three day event, Chris finished in the Top 10 out of a field of
65 cars in his class coming from across the nation. In the
A-Feature race finished 12th
In 2003, he continued in the NMMA Restricter
Class competing at the National Level.
Competition standings for the season were:
- Top Ten in Tulsa Shootout
- 3 Feature Race Wins
- 4 Trophy Dash Race Wins
- 1 Heat Race Win NMMA Nationals
- 1 Fastest Qualifying Time
- Seasons Nationals at Sweet Springs, MO, finished in Top 10
from a field of 73 cars coming nationwide. Feature started
24th, finished 10th
- Finished 5th in overall seasons standings
In 2004, Chris continued to advance to the
A-Class Division in NMMA.
Competition standings for the season were:
- First year competition in the "A" Class, Sweet Springs,
Missouri
- 2 Feature Race Wins
- 5 Heat Race Wins
- 5 Top 5 Feature Finishes
- 8 Top 10 Feature Race Finishes
- Finished 6th overall in final season standings, Sweet Springs,
Missouri
- Finished 28th out of a field of 305 in National Standings
- Awarded Rookie of the Year "A" Class in NMMA
In 2005, Chris ran a limited sprint car
schedule for Don Williams Racing in a 360 fuel injected sprint car
and a limited 305 Sprint Car schedule, but in 2006 will be driving a
full schedule in WK Chevrolet 305 Sprint Car division.
In November 2005, Chris qualified for the
All American Driver Challenge. This program is designed to
look for up and coming young talent. The winner was provided a
racing contract in the 2006 USAC Carolina Midget Series.
Chris qualified in Indiana at Fastimes
Indoor Karting Facility, shaving over 10 seconds off of his initial
lap time. He ran over 260 laps, selectingthe top 100. He
was chosen for the semi-finals.
In February 2006 he traveled to Georgia
to compete in the Driver Challenge semi-finals at the Andretti
Indoor Karting Facility. This was a terrific experience for
Chris, as he competed with drivers from all over the country.
May 2006, Chris attended the Smiley
Sitton's Outlaw Driving School in Dallas, TX under private
instruction, to further his driving skills.
2006 produced an outstanding year.
Chris had his first complete year in his 305 sprint car and
finished as the track champion at Butler Motor Speedway.
In January of 2007, Chris competed in the 21st Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, the largest indoor midget race in the United States, for Lehman Racing.
In 2007, Chris moved up to the professional level, racing in the WOW and ASCS 360 Sprint Car Division. He also raced midgets for Lehman Racing in the POWRi and SMRS series.
We feel that auto racing is a worthy and
advancing sport and would like to offer you the opportunity of
